Privacy Policy

Account details: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, gender, current status, and your city, state and country.

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and whether your email is verified. We do not read your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive or any other Google data.

Your activity: interview sessions, answers and transcripts, scores and feedback, resume files and the scores we generate for them, aptitude test attempts, badges, credits and payment records.

Basic technical data such as device, browser and approximate location from your network, used to keep the service secure and working.

To create your account, run interviews and resume reviews, show your progress and leaderboards, and keep your account secure.

To send you emails about your account, such as verification codes, receipts and support replies. If you opt in or have not opted out, we also send occasional product updates and tips. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

To understand how the product is used and to improve it. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use Google user data for advertising.

Only service providers that help us run Career Cult, and only what they need: cloud hosting and storage (Amazon Web Services, India region), email delivery (Amazon SES), payments (Razorpay), AI providers that process your interview audio, text and resume to generate questions and feedback, and sign-in providers such as Google.

If you choose a public leaderboard name, that name and your score can be seen by other users. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, and we will do so unless we must keep certain records, such as payment records, by law.

You can view and edit your profile in the app, delete your resumes, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and ask for a copy or deletion of your data.

You can also remove Career Cult's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account security settings.

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your sign-in details private.

Career Cult is meant for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a younger child has signed up, contact us and we will remove the account.
